and material : the artist‘s ways
on February 5, 1963 in Amplepuis, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes area, Didier Argentero
initially exerted his direction of creativity on the noble metals. It is with
the making of jewels since 1982 that he learned how to compose forms and dare
the mixes. Thanks to a training in computer skills, he discovers in 1996 two soft
wares : Paint Shop Pro and Gimp. Fascinated, he devotes all his free time to master
those new tools. He senses those soft wares will enable him to develop his creativity
in an entirely new way, but he will have to wait till 2000 for the ideas to fall
into place, following a visit to the Lyon museum of Modern Art.
from virtual to real
Argentero compares the new material he works on to melting glass, whimsical, sometimes
unpredictable. He tames the virtual reality to draw the palette of his imaginary.
A shape, a sign are the starting point of this creative adventure where his computer-mate
often dazzles him by his responses. Didier Argentero never cesses to wonder of
the infinites variations proposed by this virtual material. The digital creation
is then published with the format painting.

works, the reproduction of the creations in the format picture is generally made
on three supports in the choice, the painting canvas, the aluminum dibond ®, Plexiglas.
Each creation is signed and numbered by Didier Argentero, within the limit of
thirty copies, and a certificate of authenticity guarantees that it is a work
